What celeb chef in his right mind would open a pricey joint at the Third St. Promenade, Santa Monica’s freak central? Oh, Alain Giraud, that’s who. So far, it’s all about the morning: American, English, French breakfast, omelets, Benedicts. In-house pastries cause swooning. So do Bloody Marys. Lunch and dinner get more Frenchified: steak frites, steak au poivre, absinthe.
