Help us make it rightPaul did the repair & painting. His prices were reasonable. However, i had leaks in 2 parts of the ceiling & I asked him to replace the to pieces of sheet rock. He would only replace 1 because 1 was moldy. When it came time for sanding, he did do any prep work, nor did he tell me I was responsible for the prep work. He used a sanding machine without a bag & now there is dust throughout the entire house. He used the square footage from my insurance company which included painting doors & baseboards. He does not do baseboards. There is an extra charge for doors; which he did not do. i bought my ceiling paint; he refused to use it. He wiped his brushes on my counter space. There is paint. Paul was quick to point out that my cabinets had paint on them previously, but my counter top, my appliances and floor did not. I I submitted a bill to him for all om labor, supplies, & items that could not be cleaned, it would be more than the cost of his job. Also, he did not tell me I would get 2 bills from him - one for labor & one for material. His punctuality leaves much to be desires.
Be prepared to do your own prep work & have tools handy. This contractor is not prepared. He is also not punctual; some days he is on time & other days you can wait up to 4 hours for him. He does not give you the courtesy of a phone call when he is excessively late. He can be difficult to reach & does not return phone calls.You will also get one bill for labor & one bill for supplies/material; he did not tell me that up front. Also, if you are have any painting work done that includes doors & baseboards, be sure fo specify that because he does not consider that part of the room.
Paul of E&J Home Improvement painted the whole of the exterior of my house, and 10 interior rooms. His rates were reasonable, and the quality was very good. If you want a careful professional job done who cleans up every day this is the guy. If you are looking for a quick, make-do once-over you would be best to look elsewhere.
Paul did a very good job and his rates for painting our condo were quite reasonable. He did a few extra things, like repairing some loose bathroom tiles, and he had some good suggestions regarding other repairs that were needed. I would definitely recommend him.
I found the level of detail, attention and willingness to work within my budget and needs to be great. In addition to the painting he also does handyman/repair work so it was convenient to have one person managing all of the activities for the project I needed.
Job well done -- very satisfied with project outcome.
