Dr. Yan failed to give me adequate information about the medicine that she was prescribing, nor did she check to ensure that the medicine was safe to take with other meds that I was currently prescribed, or for a nursing infant. I was given this information from another doctor when I called later, after having taken the medicine. This could have been disastrous. I have lost confidence.

I visited with Dr. Yan on April 3 2017 and was pleasantly surprised on how good she is. She took time to take measurements and some simple nerve system tests and explained to me the tests and the reasons. and She was very knowledgeable, experienced and patient in listening to my problems and answering the questions. Although her staff was friendly, and made making appointments easy, Dr. Yan was down right useless. I went to her to as a new patient for pain in my upper right back from an old car accident injury. She left me waiting in the exam room for more than 30 minutes, making me late getting back to work, despite that fact that I was one of her very first appointments that morning! Dr. Yan earned her MD from Beijing Medical University and her Ph.D. at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. She also completed a fellowship in Neuromuscular Disease at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Yan is board-certified in Neurology.
