I must agree with most reviewers that Dr H needs to work on projecting a more caring image to patients. If she is competent as a Podiatrist we laymen are probably not fit to judge, really. But if people are turned off, then her skills won't get a chance to shine through. I doubt it is an easy job, but there is no substitute for a good bedside manner. She is very nice, but does not seem to know what she is talking about half the time and forgets to tell you important details about proper care and follow-up. I was not happy with the care we received from her.

This doctor was very condescending and rude. I asked her staff is she was just having a bad day but they both said she is always negative to her patients. I actually walked out of the appointment in extreme pain. She was not willing to listen to my history and immediately decided my foot pain was due to playing basketball in high school. Broke my big toe over the weekend. The office worked diligently to get me in quickly. Everyone in the office was exceptionally nice. Dr. Hoyland was the nicest, most down to earth doctor I have seen. Its a shame she is a specialist. I wish I could find a primary care physician like her. She didn't do anything that wasn't necessary and saved me money in the long run. Don't believe the few bad...
