Dr. Halko made my son go to the surgery center (wear a gown, have an IV, spend 1/2 day) for what my son's new doctor said was a simple in office procedure. The procedure took 2 minutes and a tiny band aid. Dr. Halko makes 10x the income doing a procedure in the surgery center than in office. We feel this is a breach of doctor/patient trust and feel betrayed.

The entire experience was a nightmare. Dr. Halko did not examine my injury and didn't tell me he was amputating my finger. He also didn't talk to me after my surgery. I didn't find out my finger was gone until my bandage was removed. I could have gotten a second opinion if I had been told. Better yet a different doctor.

I asked him the same question 3 times but he rambled about something that had nothing to do with my question. I left and found a new doctor.

He seemed compassionate and sincere but when I said I wanted a second opinion from a doctor outside of their network he got upset and suggested I talk to his colleague for a second opinion. I am seeing an orthopedic hand surgeon at OU and couldn't be happier.

Damaged my little finger and he was going to amputate it but didn't tell me. I found out from the paperwork. I went to another doctor and it was saved.
