Radiation Oncology
Glen Gejerman, M.D., Co-Chief Division of Urologic Oncology and
Medical Director of Tomo Therapy has spearheaded the development of John Theurer Cancer Center’s Radiation Oncology Department, one of the largest programs of its kind in New Jersey. Dr. Gejerman is also a member of Regional Cancer Center Associates, New Jersey’s largest oncology physician network.
Dr. Gejerman brings novel techniques and technologies to patients
as they emerge. His department offers patients access to every
treatment option available, including brachy therapy, True Beam, and the Tomo Therapy system. Tomo Therapy delivers a very sophisticated form of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) using an integrated treatment system that is unlike any other -- giving patients unparalleled accuracy, precision, and safety.
Dr. Gejerman is dedicated to making radiation therapy safer for
patients. He is one of the first radiation oncologists in the tri-state
area to begin implanting a wireless radiation sensor, which allows
oncologists to receive data on the precise amount of radiation being
delivered to tumors and surrounding tissue.
