Friendly and professional staff. Was hesitant to agree to see a "pain management" doctor but glad that I did. Physician treated me with back injections and some courses of physical therapy. I'm back to 100% and didn't take a single medication. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Tavel is a fat-cat doctor getting rich off of peoples pain. It's like assembly line production at Pain Specialists of Charleston. Extremely painful SI injections that did not help at all. Follow up visit, was given a Tens Unit to use, when i went in for a bone spur. I suggest you find someone else. He's only interested in making money quickly.

I have arthritis in my back due to scoliosis. Dr. Tavel has helped me tremendously. Everyone in this office has been nice and helpful. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my pain treatments. I have had pain blocks and a rhizotomy and have been able to live pain free for long periods of time. Scoliosis will always be a problem but I completely trust Dr. Tavel and Kinsey to help me with my pain. ...

Scheduled a shot in the Charleston office for my severe back pain. Total train wreck!! Drove over 2 hours and the way I was treated was so unprofessional and by far the worst Dr's visit to date.
