Apparently, the Downtown Café used to JUST be a barbecue joint open for lunch and dinner, but now they have expanded their menu and are open for breakfast, too. Homey place. Excellent smoked meat. Good sauces. Friendly service. Go enjoy.

This five is given in an appropriate context: the Downtown Cafe is a local cafe with good eats and great service. This not an upscale restaurant: the storefront is unprepossessing, the place is small and the furniture doesn’t match. Housed in a very old building. Good food(coffee needs work)at great prices. The wait staff is very fast and very friendly, and the kitchen staff are very accommodating when presented with REASONABLE requests. They offer a senior citizens' discount which is nice.

We arrived at closing time and were made to feel welcome! Great salad. Very good burgers.

Early Saturday morning . Nice place with plenty of seating. Clean. The waitress was very nice. Food came out hot and good.
