Made a reservation for Valentine's Day. We arrived ten minutes late and were finally seated about half an hour later. Waiter was inattentive. Drinks took another half hour. Food took longer than expected. Third course came out before the second, which was OK, since we got to box a whole pizza and have it the next day, but further underscores their lack of planning and/or execution. Dessert...

Servers kept bringing our food and bread to a different table. Risotto was not cooked all the way. Carrot soup was good and dessert was great.

I took my girlfriend there for lunch on her birthday after someone did this for me and I loved it both times! The pizzas are authentic Italian, and very tastefully put together. The ambiance was nice and tranquil. We also enjoyed Italian wine which our waitress recommended. It was just a perfect experience, each time. A nice change from the pizzas we know from around here and worth their price.

This was our first time dining at Doppio Zero and I hope there will be many more times. I almost want to move to Mountain View just so that DZ can be our go-to place. This is quite a gem. There were couples on dates, families with very small children, larger multi-generational families, young professionals, the whole gamut!
