I used to get my doughnut "fix" from a place called Anjean's, a LONG time ago. Unfortunately they went out of business and it's been many years since I've been able to find a doughnut shop that was even remotely as good as them.I've tried Dixie Cream in the past, I think in 2008. The doughnuts were bland so I didn't go back. I couldn't even taste the chocolate in the icing, it was like cocoa...

Dixie Cream is by far the BEST donut shop in Columbia. Never knew a donut could taste so good!! They are opening up a new location off I-70 at the Lake of the Woods exit for everybody up that way. Hopefully they'll take over Daylight Donuts soon, too. I live a lot closer to Daylight than Dixie Cream, but am happy to drive the extra distance for quality food and service!
