Armed with a coupon "Two can dine for $15.99" we traveled again to our local Dixie Cafe on a Friday night. Arriving after 6 PM, the place was not crowded but "busy". Dropped in for dessert

Just a quick stop for afternoon dessert. The hostess graciously let us sit at the soda fountain even though it looked closed. The mini double chocolate fudge brownie was yummy and such a great value at $1.99. The guy who served us was very knowledgeable about the business and was very friendly.

Long in the tooth

Food has been hit or miss over the past few visits. Quality of the food is spotty with cold squash casserole with stem ends. Cornbread was not fresh, etc. Overall this has been our general impression lately.
