My son suffered from terrible acne when he saw Dr Ivker. She put him on Accutane at 40mg and in 2 weeks his lips swelled up to the point that he was very self concious. She refused to prescribe a steroid and would not lower the dosage. It took me a trip or two before I really got to know Dr. Ivker but once I did, I realized what a great Doctor she is and I really like her. She has given me the most detailed and thorough skin exams I've ever had and I'm going on my 4th year seeing her. Dr. Ivker is so much more thorough that my former Dermatologist was. I am very impressed with Dr Ifker. She is very knowledgable and tells it like it is - which is exactly what you need from a doctor. I would highly recommend her to any friends that need skin services .

Dr Ivker was polite but distant. Did not want to discuss what is causing my condition or alternative treatments. Seemed anxious to leave. Treatment she recommended is working only marginally. I will go for followup with her and see if our relationship and my condition improves.
