I purchase an engagement ring (and several other items) from Robin and Margaret of Diamond's Choice. They have a wonderful service of allowing you to take your jewelry in every few months to have it cleaned and inspected without charge. When we are offering to buy scrap gold that is brought to us off the street, we are giving a bid that may be accepted or rejected by the seller. if someone is able to get $1.00 , $100.00 , or $1,000.00 more for their item, then it makes good sense to accept the higher offer. I do not see where "honesty" or "integrity" factor in here. We were simply out-bid for this individuals scrap....
