My wife & I stopped in the Desert Diner for breakfast. The special was "2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes -- $5.75." We each ordered one. Mine was done just as I had ordered: bacon crisp and eggs over easy. All too often that doesn't happen. Here it did.
Not only is the place broke looking - uncomfortable chairs, small tables, dirty silverware, this place had employees with a bad attitude. The waitress was friendly, but when a steak dinner was ordered too raw (originally asked medium well), I kindly asked the waitress that it was undone. She took it back to the cook and I heard the cook making a remark that yes, it was cooked properly and who the ""hell"" were these customers. I then see the cook peering his head out trying to get a glimpse of what I looked like. Very unprofessional. He overcooked my meat second time around and I returned...
Good food. NIce small town atmosphere. The waitress's are pretty.
This is your typical small town cafe. Good basic food and burgers cheaper than McDonalds. They have a nightly special, like chicken fried chicken or prime rib. They offer breakfast all day. The regulars are friendly and will include you in thier conversation.
