The owner seated us, recommended beverages, talked to us at length about this local history of the depot and railroads running right behind the restaurant. No passenger trains run through there so the depot has been converted into a restaurant. We both had bison burgers which were delicious and my husband had "American Fries" which the restaurant makes. The dish...
We were heading to the Black Hills Memorial Day Weekend and got into Mitchell late. We had not eaten since noon and asked the hotel clerk for a good sit down local place with atmosphere. She directed us to The Depot. It was 9:30pm. It was kind of hard to find at the end of a street. But once we...

The old deopt of the Chicago Milwaukee and St. Paul RR The Depot was built in 1908 at a cost of $40,000 and was used over 40 years for passengers and freight. It sat empty for many years and then in 1990 it was beautifully renovated and is now registered as a historical "site." Once again it is full of activity and houses THE DEPOT PUB AND GRILL.
The Depot can be found at S Main St 210. The following is offered: Bars & Pubs. The entry is present with us since Sep 9, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In Mitchell there are 7 other Bars & Pubs. An overview can be found here.
