Help us make it rightPretty good with good prices.I had the katsu donburi and the mochi ice cream. The katsu donburi was quite tasty, with good pork and a delicious egg, onion, and sesame seed mixture on top.The mochi ice cream is the same sold at Trader Joe's...which is delightful, so no complaints from me! I had chocolate flavor and they added a bit of whipped cream and a cherry.:)I'm satisfied.
Used to love this place. I was a big fan of Demae ever since they were at that small shack by Ream's (25 years ago?). The donburi, tempura, noodles and curry were great. This was one of my regular places; I felt that it was reasonably close in quality to some of the regular neighborhood Japanese joints on Sawtelle and Little Tokyo in LA.
Food Poisoning Anyone? My husband and I ate there a few nights ago and both of us got food poisoning. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I guess our first clue should have been the empty restaurant. Learned our lesson.
Looking for cheap sushi? This is the place.. We prefer other sushi places, but this place has an unbeatable price. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, sushi is $4. The sushi is simple and cheap, and nothing amazing but still good, but if you have a sushi craving and want to save money, this is the place to go.
Great Japanese food for less money than Osaka. My husband lived
in Japan for two years and he loves the food here. For Japanese
cuisine beginners, try the tempura or the katsu-don.
