Help us make it rightDelhi Dhaba was established in July of 1991 by a local Arlingtonian family that emigrated from New Delhi to the United States in the 70's. Their vision was to bring the colors, flavors, and riches of a traditional Indian Dhaba to the locals in the metropolitan area. Traditionally, a Dhaba is a roadside restaurant or cafe found on highways and on the outskirts of cities, towns, and villages....
Delhi Dhaba is Washington Metro areas true Punjabi Food Restaurant. We serve authentic Tandoori cuisine.
Since it opened its first tandoor oven in Arlington some years ago, this Indian place has made its mark locally, with budget prices and daringly seasoned food. Don't expect bland curries or insipid vegetable dishes. The vindaloo here can be astonishingly hot. This is plain roadside food, with lusty curries, hot-from-the-tandoor breads and fiery chutneys. Hits include the well-seasoned chicken...
This "down-market but downright tasty" Punjabi stands as "one of the few remaining bits of old Arlington", and locals have long counted on its "good, basic curries" and "mix-and-match platters" at "almost giveaway prices"; the red and yellow no-frills setting and "cafeteria-style" service suggest "takeout" may be "best", though the patio is also a good bet.
We were looking for a casual place to have dinner close to the courthouse metro stop in Arlington, VA. Delhi Dhaba was perfect. Very good Indian food and nice friendly wait staff. It was a very enjoyable evening.
Excellent food and service with quiet and relaxing ambiance, great place for a date or a night out with friends.
The food was delicious. My bushland has lamb chops that he deemed among the best he's ever had (lamb can be hit or miss) and I had mutter panier, a vegetarian dish that doesn't appear on most menus.
One of the best Lebanese places in DC. The ingredients were fresh and the meat was delicious.
Good quality Indian cuisine. Service was okay. Soup was served after the entree arrived.
