DON'T USE DECCA HARDWOOD!!!!!! If there was an option for 0 stars I would give them 0 stars! They do a terrible job, they lie and are VERY rude! If you're thinking about using Decca - think again!
Decca Hardwood had repaired our floor about a year ago and they messed up (they left soda can rings and paint can rings in the finish and there was dust and hair in the finish all over the floor!) and they didn't want to fix it they told me to just put a rug over it! I told them that was unacceptable and they needed to fix it and they refused - it took me getting my dad (who is a lawyer) to call them before they finally agreed to come and fix it. Even after they "fixed it" there were still flaws and it wasn't done very well. They also didn't want to pay for us to be in a hotel while they "fixed" the floors - we had to be out of the house the first time they did the job and I could smell the fumes from across the street 3 days after they were done - I had a 6 month old baby and wasn't going to have him in that house with those fumes - if it wasn't safe for us to be in the house the first time why would it be ok the second time? Then now a year later our new fridge leaked and ruined the floor and so I called them to get a bid and Mark at the Newberg location asked me what wood I had on my floor and told me he couldn't do a bid without knowing what kind of wood (isn't that why they are suppose to come look at my floor to give me a bid! - He wasn't even going to come look at it!!!), then when he realized that they had worked my my floor before he told me he was going to find the contract from last time and call me back. I never heard back from Mark so I called again and waited on hold for about 10 min then when he finally answered I told him who I was and was wondering if he had found my contract and he just hung up on me. I called back and he told me they wouldn't do the job. I called the Portland store and was on hold for another 10-15 min then they just hung up they didn't even answer the phone then I called back and they immediately answered and I asked if they could send me a new bid from the contract they did last time and Gina told me she couldn't do that. I asked to speak to the owner and Lam told me he was the owner and I asked him why they couldn't do the job and he told me all his guys were on vacation for 3 months! I told him that was ok I was willing to wait I just wanted to get on the calendar and he told me they don't have a calendar and they just play their business "by ear" then he proceeded to tell me that it wasn't because his guys were on vacation and that he just didn't want to drive to Newberg (THEY HAVE A LOCATION IN NEWBERG!!!). This company does a terrible job and isn't willing to fix their mistakes and I feel like they take advantage of their customers and they have the worst customer service!
