Good cheap hotel for the area

Good clean room with everything working, except the batteries for the TV remote died, but that was minor. Breakfast was adequate with toast, cereal, oatmeal & coffee available every day Only thing that changed were the pastries, switching from 2 types.

Door locks broken, non smoking room smells like smoke and urine. Room had not been renovated since the 70's One bath towel that I would not use to wash my car

One of the main reasons we picked this hotel was location. Location to the Metro for easy access into Washington, D.C. and also to areas in Maryland that we were going to visit. We grew up in the area but haven't been there for 30 years. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the pool was clean and nice. The room is dirty and old the hotel staff have no idea how to communicate with guests and are unaware how to utilize their systems. The pet free is outrageous and the facilities are dirty. The staff also communicate false threats and make up laws in order for guests to comply with their demands.
