As a landlord, David is among the worst. Leveraging Costa Hawkins as a justification for raising the rent by upwards of 70% after a year, he effectively displaced 14 tenants from a communal house in Oakland. Heartless and manipulative.

We have know David since we first moved into the neighborhood 4 years but as a neighbor not a Realtor. We found him to be great neighbor, wonderful father and more importantly, a honest and trustworthy man. He really surprised us at our first meeting. David came prepared with extensive research and talked about his business practice. He immediately won us over.

David was very attentive, focused on our needs, and helped us find the home we wanted in the desired timeframe.

David proactively found the perfect place for us and did an amazing job negotiating for us, getting us a great deal. We were originally going to offer $5k less than the asking price but David encouraged us to offer $40k less on the property that was already very low. They came back with a counter offer and we purchased our condo for $50k less than another unit sold for months later.

We would not have found our dream home without David. He told us from the beginning that this house was the best one for us, and he knew the area well enough (and got to know us well enough) to truly stand behind his recommendation. He is different from other realtors in that he is not aggressive. Instead he is thoughtful and smart and only gets aggressive when the situation truly calls for it....
