Busy local restaurant on a Friday night. Waited 15 minutes around 7 PM. Played the meat raffle and won while waiting!
Looked like a lot of regulars. Service was fast and efficient after being seated. My husband ordered the pepper steak and I had the steak kow with fried rice. Both were excellent. Generous portions with very tender steak. Great...
David Fongs has been around for years! The decor is the same as it was back in the 70s. It's a long time favorite of the locals. Huge menu, full bar, great food! My mom drives over two hours for a meal at Fongs several times a year. She's ordered the same special for over 25 years.
Fongs has two...
I have had many people talk highly about David Phong's. Don't be fooled. My appetizer sampler platter was no more than fired products. Also, my entree had little to no flavor. My server clearly did not want to be there. I was told that it was one of the best Chinese meals in Minnesota... I can name at least 3...
This restaurant has been around for more than 50 years and anyone who has eaten there knows why. The food is excellent and the wait staff is very considerate and pleasant. It's always a treat to eat there
Straight forward Chinese food. Great selection of food items on the menu. Service was prompt and the server knew her menu items when I asked about some of the dishes. Pleasant dining atmosphere, no loud plinking oriental music or cheap, Party World, decorations in this restaurant. A very flavorful dinner.

Take Out, Asian: A pleasing mix of Cantonese dishes and American favorites can be had at this Bloomington mainstay. In the summer of 1958, David Sr. and Helen Fong drove down from Minneapolis in search of a place to open up a small Chinese carry-out. As the story goes, they were looking for a location in Richfield, got lost in the rain, and came upon a small strip mall in a small township called Bloomington. This original location was named Fong's Chow Mein. It wasn't long before Fong's outgrew this location...
