The Dal Rae is the Southern California restaurant where 1950s classics still reign. Lobster thermidor, pepper steaks, chateaubriand, prime rib, steak diane and fresh seafood are among more than 100 items on the menu. Dal Rae, which opened in 1958 (the sign out front gives it away), is a throwback to another era, and its longevity is our good fortune. This is one of our favorite restaurants. The service and the food are excellent. I think the special sea bass I had on this visit was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. Worth the drive and the cost.

One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Excellent food, service, ambiance and an old world treasure. Kind of restaurant that takes you back in time but still provides gourmet food and exceptional service. Entire staff is friendly and attentive. A true dining experience!
