This tiny restaurant is located in the mall in the north-west corner of Atlantic and Garvey; there's usually plenty of parking inside and directly in front of the place, which faces out on the north side of the building.
The main attraction is the ramen, which is a tradiional recipe of noodles, boiled egg, green onions and sliced pork in a huge soup bowl. My other favorite place that serves this style of ramen is Santouka, which has a stall in the Mitsuwa supermarket food court in Torrance, Costa Mesa and Santa Monica.
I still like Santouka slightly better, but this is the closest if I've seen. Santouka is cheaper because it's in a food court, while this is a sit down restaurant with probably a more "authentic" atmosphere, complete with japanese-speaking staff and a tiny store that looks like it could be from a crowded area of Tokyo.
"Warm, bouncy noodles" and "rich", "flavorful broth" "make all the difference" for the "superior ramen" at this affordable chainlet of Japanese "greasy spoons"; there's "minimal service, little capacity and long lines", but "is it worth it? – absolutely."

Honestly, I was severely disappointed with the ramen. I was excited that they put a lot more toppings on then shin Sen gumi but the broth lacks flavor. I got the spicy miso and it was not spicy...
I would say it's more 3.5 stars due to the fact that the ramen was just AOK and it was the main course. Here is what I would give each dish: Chicken karaage: 4/5. Crunchy on the outside,...
