Great people with talent to match! I worried when he moved his shop out of Middletown but happy he landed close by in Cromwell. A hidden gem with reasonable prices. Unbelievable talent with all styles.

I have to say this is the BEST salon in the area!!!! The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The stylists are all extremely knowledgeable and well-educated. My stylist and i had a great conversation about my hair; what I liked; what I didnt like; my normal routine (in terms of taking care of my hair at home) so we can figure out a style that works best for me and what I was looking for....

Rico has been cutting my hair since 1980-ish when he was in Middletown. Have NEVER had a bad cut. Very calm, professional salon. I have since moved to Florida, but every time I visit CT, I make an appointment with him. Have never found another salon or stylist that comes close to Rico and The Cut Above...Linda D.

This is a fantastic place. Rico, the owner, does a fabulous job with both cuts and color. They use all natural products for hair coloring, and don't charge you an arm and a leg. The most reasonable place around - with the most skill!
