Sadly our go-to Indian restaurant, in West Haven, closed a few years ago, and we've visited a number of other spots in the greater New Haven area looking for a reliable alternative. Went here for lunch and we were promptly seated and asked if we wanted Naan and we did. We then got our lunches from the buffet and shortly after getting back to the table our Naan arrived. The food was nice and hot but sort of bland for my taste buds.
The service was good and they were always checking...

Definitely not the most amazing Indian Cuisine I have ever had, but it is good and the service is great. Some of the meat was a little dry both times I went there, but the price is right.

Wonderful Indian Food, Must-Go in Hamden

I went here on a date once and had some delicious Indian food during their lunch buffet. Everything was well prepared and freshly made. The restaurant is in a good location and has food for all palates.

Cumin India is the first and only restaurant in the Hamden area that serves traditional dishes prepared from family recipes. Daily all you can eat lunch buffet's served from 11-3.
