Crú Food & Wine Bar Restaurant Review

Expect a fresh Mediterranean menu at this cool Napa-influenced wine bar in the revitalized downtown Second Avenue district. Perhaps it’s the shiny semi-open kitchen that puts us in a sharing mood, usually opting for multiple small plates. Request a spoon to capture every last drop of the steamed mussels in white wine brightened with lemon grass, shallots, parsley and garlic. Warm cheese fondue,...

Expect a fresh, innovative menu at this cool European-style wine bar in the revitalized downtown Second Avenue district. Executive chef Patrick Taylor holds forth in the shiny semi-open kitchen dishing out Mediterranean-style cuisine. We…

With a big city feel, this hip, urban wine bar is at home in the trendy Second Street District.

In Short

The wine list is fabulous. The small plates they have during happy hour are well worth making it during this time. The flights are also reduced during happy hour. Our server was great and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The outdoor seating looked great, but it was too cold when we were there.

Enjoyable evening. Food could have been prepared better. Hot soup was served in a cold bowl but the rest was good. Different wine list... good with specials.

If you like to try different wines, this is the place to go, You can purchase wine flights which are creatively grouped as to region or type. We found our flight of red wines to be quite good and exposed us to some new vineyards. You can also purchase wine by the bottle or glass. We didn't try the food...

Tips about this business (5)

Private Rooms

A private dining room is available for larger groups or private parties.

Save Money

Appetizers or cheese plates offer a light meal to share with friends. Splitting a bottle of wine with a group offers more reasonably priced libations than the wine flights.

Know Before You Go

There are few vegetarian and no vegan options are on the menu.

What to Drink

There isn't a full bar; Cru has wine and beer only.

Outdoor Dining

Sidewalk tables offer dining and sipping al fresco.
