Crown continues to be THE BEST golf course in East Texas...maybe all of Texas. The fairways are magnificent. The greens are fast and roll true. It's not a long course, but length isn't what will test your skill. Lots of water, lots of sand and lots of huge pine trees. Course is in great shape to be this early in the year. They continue to redo the traps. When spring gets here, the course will really come around and playing Crown should be high on any avid golfer's bucket list.

A hard winter did its damage, but the greens and fairways are coming around nicely; they are in very good condition. There are a few bare spots along the edges in the rough. A lot of trees have been cut, especially on #2, #7 and #9, to allow better sunlight to the greens and eliminate sparse grass spots. Crown Colony continues to be a "must play" in Texas.

Tough but fair...rewarded for good shots and penalized for bad shots. Lots of water, sand and big trees. Some bare spots due to the hard winter, but coming around nicely. Continues to be a "must play" in Texas.
