Went here because we heard it was good. What we got was 15.95 dinners served on Styrofoam plates. WITH 2 Slices Of White bread. Not baked white bread... grocery store cheap white bread.. Great smoked meats.I love the Bluto.Nothing fancy just good quality meet with really smoky flavor.Classic smoked bbq.Plus their new lunch menu is a pretty good deal.The owner is always around and really enjoys making his customers feel welcome.

Best bbq in springfield.Has character and authenticity.Most places here basically give you bottles of "memphis style" or "Kansas City style" (which is fine until you have KC or memphis and realize how far off it is).Crosstown is uniquely springfield in a good way.It's a rare bbq place where both the main course and the sides are good.The beans here almost steal the show.

A local favorite, Crosstown Barbecue serves authentic, original recipe barbeque, with favorite dinners like the "Big Papa." It's all meat, all the time, at great prices. The BBQ-Pit Beans, an authentic original recipe, is a fave too. The minute you walk through the door, the Williams family owners consider you a regular. They also sell their special KC-style sauce for $2 a pint.
