Great place to stop when travelling

We stopped at the Cracker Barrel in Lansing, MI both coming and going, but really I've never stopped at a Cracker Barrel that wasn't as good as the one before. It isn't haute cuisine, but it's quick just what you need for a quick meal while on the road.

Somehow I missed out on this restaurant until now. Guess I thought it was just another family restaurant in the mode of Denny's and such. I enjoyed the southern style menu. I had a breakfast platter that included grits and biscuits and gravy.
The gift shop is very cool. Lots of candy and snacks you don't see anywhere these days,...

Always good, fair prices

Homestyle cooking, always good. Any of their roasted meats are fall-apart tender. I absolutely love the apple dumpling with ice cream for dessert! Atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, nothing fancy. Service is usually fine. Just wish they had tables near that big fireplace -- so nice and warm in the winter!
