Crab Zone Restaurant

Don't be put off by the decor, it is an excellent twist on Vietnamese seafood. About what you'd expect to spend in Laguna Beach.

This is a table service restaurant, even though it's in a food court location. The menu is an interesting mix of Asia and New Orleans. The crab cakes are excellent (mostly crab). The sweet potato fries are exceptional. The spring rolls are also very good. The prices are in line with Laguna, which is to say, not inexpensive, but at least you get quality for the money.

Exceptional, perfectly prepared wok-cooked Dungeness crab, Vietnamese-style, offered with a choice of a tamarind or a garlic pepper sauce. One better than the other! A delightful chef, committed to preparing simply great food (the homemade garlic noodles are also to die for). I just had the most delightful dinner at this clean, small, family-owned, unpretentious restaurant. I ordered the Dungeness Crab that was tasty and very well prepared along with a side of garlic noodles. Highly recommend.

This is a relatively small, clean, spare restaurant which serves excellent crab cakes. I haven't tried anything else because I can't resist the consistently satisfying, tasty, well presented crab cakes which are seemingly all crab meat. The accompaniment is a tasty sauce.
