Editorial reviews from the web (2)

BBQ buffs line up "self serve"–style at these modest Ft. Worth joints proffering "terrific" smoked meats, "tasty" sides and an especially noteworthy peach cobbler; "quick" service and honest prices complete the package; P.S. the food's available to go at two outposts inside the DFW airport.

Family run barbeque restaurant offers several locations.

In Short
The red-checkered tablecloths and cafeteria-style, walk-through service line give Cousin's Barbeque Pit a very comfortable and casual feel. Since 1983, this ""Cowtown"" resto has...

Consistently Wonderful

I have been to this location several times, and even taken first time visitors to the area to this Cousin's location. Each time it has been wonderful, and the quality is consistent. My personal favorite is the brisket (best I've ever had anywhere). My second favorite is the sausage, but I find all of their meat selections to be consistently...

Overall this was our favorite BBQ spot on our Dallas trip with friends . Portions and prices here were by far the best! Lunch deals were really good and I was able to split a 3 meat combo with my wife. Highly recommend the chicken or brisket. Sides were all quite tasty and service was very quick in the line....

Good brisket

We came into town and stopped to pick up some brisket and sides to go. We got pinto beans (good), carrot salad(very good), fried okra(excellent), mustard potato salad (very good) and banana hop pudding (outstanding) to go with the 2.5# sliced brisket (very tender and tasty,) total was around$56 for everything. Enought for 6 people with some left over. Easy...

No longer a place I'll go

We've been eating at Cousin's since it first opened on McCart in the early 80s. It was great until the patriarch passed. Since, it's declined to the point I won't return. The portions have shrunk as the prices have risen. $14.99 for a two meat plate where the meat won't cover a slice of bread is highway robbery. I hate...

Expect to be treated like family as our servers talk with you about your day in our cafeteria-style service line. Enjoy our casual and comfortable dining room surrounded by a visual history of our Cousin’s “family” that we call our “Wall of Fame.”

Original location of Cousin’s, which has six restaurants throughout Tarrant County.

Downhome and relaxing, this local joint always welcomes customers with a ready smile and terrific aromas. Barbecue of all sorts answers the craving for succulent meat and zesty sauces, especially the ribs and the brisket. Plates and sandwiches are both available, along with terrific baked potatoes, salads, and desserts. Plus, the tender ribs have earned Cousin's a special place in the hearts of...
