~~~Pam~~~you and i know if a shop has the ability to charge more and keep it legitamately without being dishonest ~~~who got hurt?~~~~But in this case you were still offered a discount at your descretion when you could use it~~~If it has "no expiration"~~~or limits as to who can use it~~you could sell it to someone else and turn it into cash for no loss~~~~~so who gets hurt?~~~~THE TRANZMN
does your son work at that company???
maybe i did not read this post correctly, but i did not notice anywhere it stating your son worked for this company that receives discounts, does he?? it apears to be his car and he paid the tab from this post. if that cottman operator offered a in store discount, and the sale was finalised before discount issue was brought up, i tip my hat to that operator/ and or manager.
Read the signs!
Inside the store is a sign that simply states: " All coupons or discounts MUST be presented at the time of purchase". This is the company policy, not the store's. We are forced to follow certain guidelines and this is one of them.Although most would find a request for a refund from a coupon after the sale to be totally unreasonable, we did offer to compromise with an in store credit. Why should you get a refund?
If you did not ask before you paid the bill, why should the company apply the refund to PAST invoices?Had you asked for it before you authorized the work, or paid the bill, then they would be bound by there offer to honor the discount.The offer of an in store credit is above and beyond what they are required to do. I suggest get it in writing and take the discount.Also, notify of any discounts...
honor, what's that? Your'e lucky if that's all they got you for and the car still works.
