This cozy spot in Bucktown is unpretentious and cleanly designed, with a retractable glass garage door in front, and exposed brick walls and leather-clad bench seating inside. Nine high-definition TVs broadcast sports games, some with the sound turned up, while DJs spin records Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm until close.

This cozy modern-retro bar has a cheesecake-and-spice ambience that would make Bettie Page proud. Vintage pinup-girl illustrations hang on the walls, and the lounge's seating is upholstered in (what else?) faux leopard skin. The snappily dressed crowd comes for the bartenders' quality cocktails.

Cortland Street Burger was excellent! Definitely not your typical bar food.
Lime French fries tasty as well.
Great beer selection, local brews included.
Good tv selection.
Very good bar scene.

We have been a few times, always for burgers, they are really good. My daughter-in-law can be a discerning vegetarian and she said their veggie burger was the best she has ever had. Staff is always friendly and efficient. This is a must stop for us when we bring people from out of town on a Chicago foodie tour.

Cortland's is a better-than-average, reliable neighborhood bar. They have great burgers, salads, sandwiches, and my favorite jumbo soft pretzels with beer cheese. Good, casual atmosphere for a place to meet up after work.

Went to a get together and really enjoyed this place! The food was great, I love all the neighborhood bars in Chicago and would definitely make this place a regular if I lived in town!
