I've gone to Hair by Dennis a few times now. Dennis always does a good job and his prices are really fair. I don't really like to spend all day waiting to get my hair cut but at Hair by Dennis you can always find parking in the lot behind the arcade building and you never have to wait long. There's a coffee shop right next door which is always a plus.

There are so few indie bookstores left around this country, and as soon as you walk into Booksmith you can understand how this one survived. These people know books. They know readers. And most important of all, they know their neighborhood.
That must be why they've been around since 1961. They've gotten even better at what they do since a B&N moved in a block away 15 years ago, and now...
