Love COMSA

Average Rating

I LOVE my haircut! i've always gone to asian hair stylists, i feel they have more experience and knowledge with asian hair. if you feel the same way as i do, comsa is definately a place you want to try. my stylist, Arty, is also the owner, and he was wonderful, really knows his stuff. I just moved to SF from NYC, and was very anxious to try a salon in SF. BUt it turned out wonderful, i dont even have to style it in the morning, everything just falls into place. Extremely affordable. Great prices + great haircut.

Pros

+ Price, great stylist, friendly/courteous/accomodating staff

Cons

-...

Excellent cut, polite staff

I like Japanese salons because I'm 100% sure I will like the cut and color if the stylist was trained in Japan. Comsa does not disappoint. The staff who are bilingual are always courteous. The shampoo is thorough and relaxing with a nice scalp massage. My stylist, who was also the owner, always did an excellent job with my cut- a layered cut that is popular for women in Japan. I was a regular customer for a year until I moved out of the area. I kept going back because the service was excellent and very inexpensive. My cut and color was $85. So, the OP who claims $375 and $200 for whatever...

i've found the one!

wow...i am surprised to see the bad reviews they've got. i've tried so many hair salons since i moved to SF. not only were they bad BUT expensive as well. but COMSA...boy, i was so pleased with the result! i brought in a clip to show the style and i got EXACTLY the same thing!!! i never got my hair cut by a person who was in training. it's really weird to hear that they would cut a customer's hair with a trainee. don't you have to agree to it in the first place anyway??? i never paid anything over$200 (and $300 by a trainee???)for a cut a color job at the place. anyway, they remodeled the...

Horrible, I paid $370 for a the worst hair

The staff was under training and I could tell when she didn't know how to cut my hair. She wasn't even sure where and how to start. Before my hair was finalized, I ask that somebody else should cut my hair. She ignore my request and continue to cut, and the result, I cannot bear! The color was fade on the root and dark on the bottom. And, the cut was choppy. I am more than just disappointed, I saw from their website I thought they could be good. This is the worst color I have got.
