Located upstairs at the Hong Kong in Harvard Square, this comedy club schedules platters of silly offerings, including a host of local and touring comedians and, on Tuesdays, a popular magic show. The newly renovated restaurant serves reasonably priced Chinese dishes between smiles.

Nobody here is a sitcom star -- yet. With a stellar reputation for searching out undiscovered talent, the no-frills Comedy Studio draws a savvy crowd of connoisseurs, college students, and network scouts. It's not just setup-punch line-laugh, either; sketches and improv spice up the standup. Shows are Tuesday ("Mystery Lounge," featuring magicians) through Sunday at 8pm.

We came for the Friday night show while visiting Boston. It was hilarious! There was about 7 or 8 acts and all for $14! The club is above a Chinese restaurant and looks like a classic old comedy...

this is the place I thought existed when I saw comedy clubs glamorized in movies and television as a kid...... after goi...ng to several different comedy clubs in places across the country, I didn't think it really existed until I found the Comedy Studio. Amazing place. Has to be the best club ever on the third floor of a Chinese restaurant.See More
