This is the place in Union for plain, good tasting diner type food . The prices are very reasonable, the quantity and quality of the food is excellent and the wait staff is friendly and helpful . What more could you want ?
Heard about the Come Spring Cafe while researching the area based on the book Come Spring by Ben Ames Williams. Decided to visit the cafe for breakfast with my two daughters. The breakfast was wonderful. Everything was fresh and the toast was thick, crunchy on the outside and light on the inside - perfect. Our waitress, Jan, was very pleasant....
The building looks pretty modest-- but it's usually hard to see the building for all the cars parked around it. This is a small town Maine diner-- not a Jersey-type diner with a massive menu-- but what they do here, they do well. Good standard breakfast fare. Tasty sandwiches and lunch and dinner platters (but dinner isn't offered every day)....
