Editorial reviews from the web (1)

This museum contains art from the Kress Foundation collection of Renaissance and baroque treasures, sculpture, decorative arts. There are plenty of prominent paintings by European and American masters, including a Monet and a Botticelli. Guided tours are offered on Saturday, Sunday, and the first Friday of each month.

Wednesdays are free part of the year, so check before you visit. My visit was quite enjoyable and eventhough some exhibits were closed, I spent an hour viewing African American art, Greek pottery and sculptures. This is a good place to spend a solitary hour!
