Hired CHW to pour stamped concrete patio. Color wrong: red, not yellow with terra cotta accent as agreed. Workmanship poor: crew walked on wet concrete leaving bootprints in patio; sealer applied when temp too hot, causing it to bubble and dry with visibly rough finish. Reliability awful: CHW represented work would be done on specific days, but crew wouldn't show up. Yard left a mess: cigarette butts left in grass; relocated sprinklers sprayed patio, not grass, causing grass to die before fixed; metal landscaping strip left sticking out of ground with sharp edge exposed. CHW fixed some of the problems, but getting there was like pulling teeth. Owner would say one thing one day and something totally different the next. After 2 months, CHW ultimately refused to correct color (although owner admitted color was wrong because the release was applied while concrete too wet) or to smooth rough finish. All we got was a patio we don't like and 2 months of runaround from CHW.

Filed a complaint against CHW with the Better Business Bureau, seeking a refund of a portion of the project cost, based upon an estimate from a different contractor to recolor and reseal the patio. CHW's Response (by Mark DeGeorge): "I will try to make this very simple. Colorado Home Works has completed the project. It has no warranty." There's an upstanding business and business owner for you! They don't even warrant their own work!!

Contracted with CHW/Mark DeGeorge for stamped concrete patio. Color completely wrong: red, not yellow with terra cotta accent as agreed. Workmanship poor: crew walked on concrete before dry, leaving multiple bootprints in patio; sealer applied when temperature was too hot, causing it to bubble and dry with rough finish. Reliability terrible: several times, CHW represented work would be done on...
