Crusty and old. In bad need pf investment. Food was nothing to write home about. Stone crabs were tasteless and steak was tough and service poor. Only highlight are the blueberry muffins.
Beautiful view of Tampa bay. Food was soso, ordered a Caesar salad (would not recommend) and a grouper burger (was ok). Also had the crab dip which was again okay. service was super friendly.
In search for the best fried grouper, we dined at The Colonnade tonight. I had the sandwich called the Grouper Islander. It was the best grouper sandwich that I've ever eaten. The view is incredible if you are seated by the window (which we were). The service was old-time efficient with no complaints. The food was okay, nothing special. We both had seafood, and there was nothing wrong with it, but there wasn't anything great about it either. The restaurant and menu are definitely dated. My 84-year-old mother-in-law would love it....
I haven't eaten there in many years but hubs and I decided to return. Place really looks run down. Headed to door, could use some lawn maintenance (pull some weeds), pressure washing (very moldy). Went in door and old carpet smell. Decided to not eat there. Therefore cannot critique food.
