Expecting the best for a special occasion we were treated poorly by the staff and the food was just average for the high price. We will never return and let all our friends know about our dining experience. We were hoping for the five star experience and were excited to go there. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant AT ALL.

I invited my family for a dinner night before Christmas. We had the best waiter I have ever had his name is john. He paid attention to detail, explained in detail every entree and special. Food was phenomenal. The quality of the food is 5 stars!
They have a phenomenal Chef at their kitchen, it is one of Connecticut's best kept secrets!

We love going to Colonial Tymes for brunch on special occasions. It is pricey, but the food is excellent, a lovely menu, a buffet and drink included. Our last experience was a large party (11 adults, 2 babies), and the service was subpar. However, that was the first time we've had a complaint after several visits. The place gets busy, and the rooms can be a tad noisy. Overall, I recommend this...

I have dined at Colonial Tymes on numerous occassions over the past couple of years and every experience has been wonderful from the excellent food, superb service, and wonderful ambiance. I recommend this restaurant HIGHLY!
