College Street Cafe

Sometimes Hit, sometimes miss.. Just a little greasy spoon. Good breakfast place for cheap but don't expect much more. This place has a lot of potential. I really wish someone new would buy this place and re-vamp it. It could be a charming little place if it got in the right hands.

Overriced, small portions. Glorified frozen. Not impressed; chicken fried steak was about 1/3 of the size you would receive at most places; 8 fries in an order of fries.

This is one of Springfield's "hidden secrets". It is located
just west of Kansas Expressway on College Street. At first glance
you may not want to go in...it is a rather humble little building.

When you enter you will see a tiny diner that is usually packed
with local workers and an extremely friendly atmosphere. The

This cafe' is always a busy place, especially in the early mornings;
when all of the locals congregate to start the day with a good cup
of coffee, & a tale or two(or three). The food is good, the service
fine. They're only open for breakfast & lunch, but; it's a place
you can't miss out on for local eats!

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Very inexpensive and the food is
good. The place is small but I have never had trouble finding a seat.
You can always sit at the counter. The waitresses are always friendly
and they have a daily special so don't forget to check the board.
If you are bothered by cigarettes you might not like it but other than
that everyone living in Springfield should try the...

College Street Cafe is an affordable eatery, serving American fare with friendly service. Daily specials are available. They are beef tips and noodles on Monday, Tuesday is homeade meatloaf day, Wednesday is a smothered porkchop platter, Thursday is spaghetti, Friday is barbecued brisket day. Fried chicken is offered every day and burgers and fries are even available for breakfast.
