Cody's opened in 1996 with a wonderful reception from the surrounding area. Since opening Cody's has been the place to go on weekends and holidays and for any EIU or Lake Land College special event weekend. Cody's was a pretty good place to eat in Mattoon. I myself was a weekly regular. I just wanted to submit this review to let TripAdvisor readers know that the restaurant is now closed for business.
Pass through on motorcycles in heavy rain. Room at Baymont walked to restaurant. Cody's we were told had new management. Tried cranberry salad with grilled chicken and oranges also Philly sandwich it was very good. The bar tender John did an excellent job putting us on to a new drink Bluemoon with peach schnapps and orange juice
