A fusion of fine dining, cocktailing, and DJ grooves, Levende Lounge is one of the Mission's hottest spots for young singles looking to hook up. Drop in early for happy hour Monday through Friday from 5 to 7pm, or sit down for a meal of "world-fusion" small plates (think French, Asian, and Nuevo Latino) in a more standard dinner setting amid exposed brick walls and cozy lighting. Later, tables...

Earnest, endearing mélange of nightclub-cum-restaurant on edges of Mission, next to the overpass. Gourmet small plates (mini lamb burgers, mac & cheese, summer squash cakes), cushy lounge, and club scene means one-stop bar hop. Om Records DJs keep the fluffy house beats going strong. Love the build-your-own bloody mary and benedict brunch, all at a price that will happily surprise you. Slow...

Winner of Best everything in all the city polls. Mission District hot spot combines a sweet mix of DJ grooves, cheese-free singles scene, global fusion small plates, cool staff, and loungey setting. Ideal place for round one of ladies night on the town. After 10 tables are pushed aside for SRO club scene. Popular Sunday brunch too. Tip: Beware of Wednesday karaoke nights if American Idol aint’...

With brick walls, brown leather couches and banquettes, and an all-around warehouse-chic vibe, the city's hottest new cocktail spot for the young single set is also a damn fine place to eat, provided you either come early or enjoy noshing while revelers crowd the bar, flirt, and groove to the DJ's mixes. Their ace in the culinary hole is 29-year-old chef Jamie Lauren who was nominated by the...

Had an awesome time last night seeing Eric Krazno! The venue was awesome and the drink prices were reasonable. I loved how it was really intimate! Would definitely see another show there!

Intimate venue but doesn't have proper ventilation for hot days...

Kind of a sketchy neighborhood. The front door was open the whole concert and cops (with sirens) drove by multiple times. That wasn't helpful to the experience but I liked the intimate setting

The workers of this place are racist and they kick me out because they said that I steal a beer from someone and when they checked me of course I didn't had anything with me. I just went by myself to watch LA luz live and I paid 2 cocktails with my credit card. Then the bar tender said that Latinos just came to this country to steal and they didn't refund my money for the ticket. I'm really...

Favorite place to play a show. Bartender Zora was on her A-game all night and handled behind the bar like the pro she is.
Sound guy Jonas is great at what he does and had all the bands sounding great.
Felt like shouting these two out. They're awesome.
