Lean back in a chair in the courtyard, where there are fresh flowers on the tables, sunlight filtering through the trees and white tablecloths billowing in the breeze. Old oak trees still shade guests at the restaurant Virginia Cobb established in 1948 as Cobb's Corner Cupboard. Service is gracious and unhurried, with a number of dishes hailing from an earlier time. Classics are fried green...

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. There is always a reason to eat at Cobb Lane. Excellent wine list, with a server whose wealth of knowledge carries from wine and to the menu. Their recent renovations and specials make the trip well worth your while.

Not only have I always enjoyed Cobb Lane's out door seating, but recently we came by for their wine and oyster special. Not only did the bartender know thier wine list in and out, but was very entertaining. Their bar area has been renovated and I found the changes very refreshing. Our drinks ended up turning into dinner, being a vegetarian I found their crab cakes and she crab soup...

Six of us attempted to have lunch at Cobb Lane today. We were seated outdoors in the pleasant courtyard. After about 15 minutes passed, we were given menus. Another 15 minutes passed before we were given water. About 10 more minutes passed until the waiter took our orders. We flagged our waiter down to ask for bread after seeing that other tables had it. After an hour, three of us received...

The atmosphere is still wonderful, especially the outdoors, but the food was awful. The delicious homemade rolls, that usually melt in your mouth, were stale. Some of my favorite seafood casseroles had been...

Locals have been frequenting the Cobb Lane Restaurant since World War II. Occasions are seemingly better when they're celebrated at Cobb Lane! Famous for its rich she-crab soup and consistently topnotch food, it's a popular spot for either special occasions or simple dining. Sunday brunch is particularly solid, with dishes ranging from Pepper Jack Steak Omelet or pancakes topped with candied...

A perennial favorite for Southern ladies' luncheons and showers, Cobb Lane is famous for its she-crab soup and chocolate roulage. Other favorites include the chicken salad and fruit plate with poppyseed dressing and the Southern-style vegetable plate. Wine available by the glass or bottle. Dine inside or outside on the large patio under the cherry laurel trees. Reservations suggested, but not...
