I placed a nice Hooker Desk w/hutch at the CH. It was priced at $1,299. When I moved the contract was misplaced. I found it and read that I was 17 days late picking up the Desk w/hutch that did not sell. When I called CH the manager, Theresa, explained that it was now CH's property per the contract and that it's their policy not to make exceptions. CH does NOT send email remainders or make calls after the deadline. They simply keep your property. This is a slimey business practice and likely how they make their money....by keeping your stuff!!! Beware of the Clearing House.
I used to shop here and enjoyed the items they had. However, beware if you want to consign your furniture. Although it is written on the receipt you receive, no one tells you that if your furniture does NOT sell, you have 5 days to pick it up or it becomes their property. Incredible company!! Always have a fabulous inventory of furniture and accessories. Staff is extremely polite and very knowledgeable. Definitely the best place to shop in Jacksonville for good quality consigned furniture.
