After much searching and quotes we chose Classic Tile for our pool work. Jerry came around and seemed professional taking notes and explaining everything we needed. We especially required some extra work to fill in and replace rotting spacer wood around the decking that he stated was an easy job and was not a problem on top of acid washing and having the pool re-plastered. Acid wash and plaster work was booked but they never turned up and then the excuses began, wind, rain etc etc delayed work with no communication unless initiated by ourselves. When they eventually arrived the plaster work was good but they never dealt with the spacer wood. Also the mastic around the pool had come away and left gaps. We were told this could be repaired for a further $700 after much debate about whose responsibility this was. They never returned calls and actively ignored calls as we used three different phones for them to accept calls after calling from the recognized number that they became accustomed to receiving. They threatend us with DA action should we withhold part payment due to incomplete work. Jerry magically lost his initial notes stating about the spacer work, Seth was a complete waste of space and only took me seriously after stating that I was an engineer who kind of knew a little about pressure and expansion.. Was promised a call from the owner which never came. All in all a take your money and run operation and that does little to instill customer confidence for recommendations or after market service. Their sub contractor on the other hand who look after the pool post service have been very good, just a shame they cannot take their customer care procedures on board for their own company. Very disappointing and frustrating and would not recommend as other companies were on par for the price.
I recently had Classic Tile & Plaster remodel my pool. I had planned on simply resurfacing with white plaster but ended up selecting blue granite PebbleSheen. Huge difference!. I now have the most beautiful blue water I could have imagined and practically maintenance free. If you call them be sure to ask for Jerry Reynolds. He was my sales rep and was a great help to me - start to finish.
I would not use Classic Tile & Plaster again. Although some of the crews did a great job, the tile and coping crew did a mediocre job, damaged quite a bit of the existing coping (that had to be reused), and left the jobsite a mess; the plaster crew left a number of footprints in the plaster at bottom of the pool. My neighbor used Classic a few years ago and had their pool done with PebbleTec. They love their surface and suggested we do the same. Jerry was our sales rep and suggested PebbleTec for the pool but PebbleSheen in our spa (smaller smoother pebbles). Seth was our supervisor and stopped by everyday to check on things. Overall great experience. We don't miss the plaster at all.
great experience working with Classic Tile & Plaster. Jerry Reynolds was our contact and was really helpful. he took us in person to see different color pools. we love the aqua blue pebble sheen. seeing the pools first made our decision much easier. Jerry also made the tile selection process easy by having over 100 different tiles in his car. give them a call and ask for Jerry.
We hired Classic Tile to redo our pool with Pebble Sheen, new deck-o-seal, a new pump and booster and repair work to our pump in March of 2011.
