What the community has to say about City Tavern

Information about this business (1)

This bright, boisterous hangout is a favorite of yuppies and sports fans. However, people who fall outside of these categories will still want to take advantage of the drink specials during Happy Hour and Two Dollar Tuesdays. The restaurant menu features upscale cuisine that will stick to your ribs. Dungeness Crab Cakes and gourmet pizzas are savory preludes to fish and poultry dishes.

The most relaxed and least annoying of the so-called “triangle bars” (Eastside West and Balboa Café being the other two corners), with come-as-you-are vibe, people-watching windows, and reasonably priced drinks. Civilized sports bar, aside from the occasional Sloppy Joe and his belligerent girlfriend—they should have been cut off a few rounds back. There's a back bar if the main bar gets too...

Singles on the prowl flock to this Cow Hollow American bar and grill.

In Short
The extensive beer and wine list keeps young professionals happy while they window shop for new mates or watch sports on muted televisions around the large, oval-shaped bar. ...

This was a chill place to get a drink after the golden gate bridge celebration... a bunch of girls were there dancing, some geeks being wall flowers, a reasonable selection of beers, lots of tables and bar stools. Overall i could see hanging here often if I lived nearby.

This place is split into a couple of distinct areas; the bar and the table zone (dancing in between). The bay is a full...

We had walked up and down Union and Filmore looking for a place to eat and nothing seemed to fit the bill. Heading back to the motel we chanced upon the City Tavern (corner Fillmore & Molton) where the menu looked decent and prices not too expensive. We decided to give it a go and were surprised to find that...

Yelp

Maybe one of the most gorgeous personal staff to be found in whole America actually worked there. Thanks from the swede's, that was asking about simon & garfunkel... [email protected]

Yelp

Wooow, this place has a few too few stars. It's one of the only real bars you can find in the Marina that is not for old people or douchebags. I have always liked the bartenders, and if a group wants…
