Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in downtown SLO, dining at Ciopinot. There is not a bad item on the menu. On Saturday, I had the blackened swordfish which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the Wagyu beef and it was tender and full of marbling....

The ciopinot here is outstanding! I had the seafood fettuccini, and it was also delicious. It was well worth the price of the food. We both have special dietary considerations, and the staff was very accommodating.

Overpriced for what you get

This restaurant is very expensive. I'm talking $30-$40 (or much more) for most entrees. We don't mind paying more for a good meal, but this was overly pretentious and not worth the cost.
The ciopinno was so-so. The only thing I really liked about it...

Our decision to open a Seafood Grille and Oyster Bar in downtown San Luis Obispo, California was driven by a niche that no one had filled.
