What the community has to say about Church Lounge @ Tribeca Grand Hotel

Information about this business (3)

Contrary to its name, the Church Lounge, located at the Tribeca Grand Hotel is very contemporary and non-conformist as far as the cuisine, music and decor are concerned. The posh interiors of the lounge go well with the Fusion American cuisine, which can please almost any New Yorker's palate. A buzzing eatery by day and a great party-spot at night, the lounge easily becomes a favorite with...

Tribeca Grand Hotel is a New York luxury hotel offering the best accommodations in the sought-after TriBeCa neighbhorhood. Tribeca Grand is near fashion and financial districts and is ideal for business travel and leisure travel.195251ATTR:WIFIBARBUFFETCATERINGRESTAURANT

New York might have made the classic hotel bar famous, but it's Tribeca Grand's Church Lounge that revolutionized it. Dead center in the hotel's open triangular atrium, the Church Lounge is an intimate gathering place in the day and turns into a key destination at night. The classic American menu offers everything from light appetizers to three-course meals, designed exclusively by the Tribeca...

The Roxy Lounge Restaurant Review

The Roxy Lounge offers all-day dining at The Roxy Hotel. Its turn-of-the-century design makes for a comfortable, quaint atmosphere with warm woods and neutral tones adding to the candlelit ambience. The fact that it is within the property’s giant atrium sets it apart from most low-ceiling lounges. The breakfast menu ranges from omelets to a multigrain waffle. Lunch and dinner bring salads,...

In a city where most hip digs are a flash in the pan, this refined hotel bar is growing old gracefully.

This place now goes by the Roxy and has been under at least a few different managements over the past decade... Excellent ambiance, perhaps the best in the city... seems to still be the best...

The Church Lounge, now inside what has been renamed the Roxy Hotel, has an identity crisis. A remarkably non-NYC attempt at trying to be NYC. Garish and lacking in authenticity. Feels like an overdressed Novotel. Better when it was part of the Tribeca Grand.

The Extras

A full American menu is offered by day and night to accommodate hotel guests and walk-in diners. Brunch is served on Sundays from 10am to 3pm.

Know Before You Go

DJs play to the crowd. On weekends, expect a party of pop, rock, and new wave. But if weeknight clientele is on the older side, lite-FM favorites--James Taylor, Carole King, Simon and Garfunkel---take precedence.

Where to Sit

In the warmer months, snag a table outside in the velvet-roped sidewalk section.
